We developed the North typeface to allow the product to shine through. It needed to be a contemporary yet timeless design with the classic Nordic styling clues of functionality and utility, with clean lines and simplicity of form.
We opted for a condensed feel to provide impact in a variety of product environments, a balanced stroke weight and flowing natural curves to bring an understated strength and attractiveness alongside a premium, hand crafted persona. These features combine to give brand credibility and flexible implementation across a wide range of applications.
