The face of adventure

Lars Monsen is a Norwegian explorer and broadcaster famous for his televised expeditions into the inhospitable regions of Scandinavia, Alaska and Canada. Lars has built a strong, well-respected and beloved personal profile, as well as a brand of outdoor products and clothing, developed in close collaboration with trusted suppliers and rigorously tested by Lars himself.

We developed a visual identity and brand strategy for Lars Monsen’s personal brand, as well as packaging for his range of outdoor products. These are designed to meet the technical and physical rigours of expeditions, our strategy builds on this, and is expressed through the choice of colour; a technical red and black, the use of image; the weathered face of lars, and the modern practicality and utility of type and monogram. Together our design provides a strong, recognisable and cohesive foundation from which to build upon and functions well across a variety of categories and touch points.
